Our story
Vinh Xuong started with one family bakery, in 1980.
Hung Huynh opened the first Vinh Xuong Bakery in Denver in 1980. The family came from a bakery background in Vietnam, and the shop later settled on Federal Boulevard, in the Far East Center, where it still bakes today.
In 2011, his son Duc and daughter Yen opened the West Alameda cafe. Baguettes are baked in the shop every morning, and the cafe added a full coffee bar and seating that the original takeout shop didn't have.
Regulars come for banh mi on warm bread, hand-made mooncakes, and Vietnamese coffee. Over the years the bakery has won Westword's Best of Denver for its banh mi, its sandwiches, and its iced coffee.
Run by the Huynh family
Today the West Alameda location is run by Duc Huynh and Yen Huynh, who keep the family's baking going every morning.
